Sometimes I like to imagine I'm a tiger. I prowl across my jungle (living room floor), negotiating my way through swamps and vines (socks and DVDs) and periodically let out an almighty roar just to establish to anything in the vicinity that this is MY territory. I then proceed to bat a ball of string around, before a neighbour inevitably sees me and rubs my belly through the window. Before long my house is filled with excited yet slightly nervous locals, intrigued by my expert purring skills. Some wine is drunk, a game of scrabble is played, and after winning with "SEQUOIA" going across the triple word square, I calmly devour each and every one of them.
*sigh* ok then here's some smalltalk about me...
I'm in the middle of my master's degree in Sociology Research at the London School of Economics. Although it's not entirely necessary or relevant, it's worth pointing out here that I came top in my year by quite a long way for 2 years running, and even won £100 prize last year :) While I love academia and will be starting my PhD next year, my main motivation in working hard is that, since I started doing well at uni, my parents have stopped trying to guilt-trip me into having kids! Seriously, before I started the degree it was constant "Ven are you gonna giv us sam granchildran e?" (my mum's yugoslavian btw, I appreciate that looks like chav-speak, but it is in fact cute broken English!). And seeing as I hate kids (they're smelly, boring, dirty and loud, among other things), I'm clearly going to disappoint them. But now they're thinking that my academic career is too important and I shouldn't let children get in the way of it. WOOHOO!!

Interests
terrible jokes, hugs (by the way, everybody seems to be going on about hugs these days - let me tell you I started the craze back in 97 so you have me to thank for them), playing pool, KITTENS, anyway, politics, international affairs, history etc. in females: Intelligent girls - I mean it, it actually gets me going! Use originality of expression (and I don't mean throw in the word "random" every 5 minutes) - and please don't ever use the phrase "I was just like aaaa!!!" - we have words in the English language and you're allowed to use them. What were you, shocked? excited? terrified? euphoric? yawning? Oh, and if you display an awareness of what's going on in the world I will adore you.
